FF And FG To Hold Separate Meetings On Minority Government Deal

Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael will hold separate parliamentary party meetings today to discuss a minority Government deal.

Micheál Martin's party is expected to agree to an Enda Kenny led administration for at least three budgets – but Independent TDs have yet to hear the full terms of the deal.

Their support is also necessary when it comes to Cabinet formation and they will hold their own meetings with Fine Gael later.

Pat Leahy is the Deputy Political Editor of the Irish Times – he thinks Enda Kenny will have votes to spare when Deputies are asked to elect a new Taoiseach – meaning individual Independents have less negotiating power.
