Fianna Fail’s poor showing in the opinion polls doesn’t seem to be reflected in County Clare.
A survey of over 1000 visitors to the clare-dot-fm website has found that 35% of people in Clare would vote for Fianna Fail in the next General Election, despite opinion polls showing the major government party as having as little as 13% support nationally.
A possible Fine Gael-Labour Coalition looks set to receive strong support from the Banner County also, with 24% of those who voted in the Clare FM poll indicating support for Enda Kenny’s party, and 16% for Eamon Gilmore’s team.
25% of those surveyed said they’ll vote for Independent Candidates or other small party representatives in Clare when the General Election is held in the new year.
