The Fianna Fail leader says his party is planning to introduce legislation calling on the government to keep Aer Rianta International under the control of an independent Shannon Airport.
Micheal Martin was speaking to Clare FM ahead of a visit to Ennis and Shannon tomorrow where he will meet local business representatives, Fianna Fail representatives and members of the public.

Aer Rianta International remains a successful international airport duty free business and was founded in Shannon, but the transport Minister has insisted it will remain in the control of the Dublin Airport Authority in return for a write off of Shannon’s debts.
