Fianna Fail’s environment spokesperson is calling on the Government to come clean on how it plans to implement the new property tax.
Barry Cowen’s comments follow revelations that the Government has already agreed a deal with the troika behind closed doors that will see taxes levied on the value of homes.

The politician is also calling for the publication of a report commissioned by the government which was due to form the basis of the property tax strategy.
The Department of Finance this afternoon said the recommendation of the report will be considered by Government in due course.
