The Clare division has the lowest number of Garda reserves in the country.
According to figures revealed in the Dáil, there are just six reserves in the Banner county – well below the number seen in our Mid West neighbours.
Limerick has 31, with 18 in Tipperary – while the Dublin Metropolitan North district has the most on 45.

The government earlier this year committed to recruiting an additional 300 Garda reserve officers, with the aim of bringing the total number to 2,000 by 2021.
