Final Dail checks ahead of Shannon Pre Clearance

Legislation for the Pre Clearance facilities at Shannon Airport is due before the Dail today.

The two day debate is the final step in the journey for the facilities which will allow passengers to clear immigration, customs and border protection for the United States in Shannon before travelling across the Atlantic.

The facility is due to be up and running by the end of July and it’s hoped will provide a much needed boost to the Mid West Airport as it will be the only other airport in the world outside of the US that will have this service.
