A 401-year era comes to an end in Ennis today, with the final official function of the Town Council.
Mayor of Ennis Mary Coote Ryan will be on hand as a plaque to commemorate the 22nd Infintary Battallion of the FCA is unveiled at it's new location in the Clare Peace Park adjacent to Glor.

The piece is to honour the 5,000 men and wemon who served in the ranks of the organisation here in Clare.
