Final Preparations Underway For Clare St. Patrick’s Day Parades

Final preparations are underway ahead of the St Patrick's Day festivities across County Clare tomorrow.

Tens of thousands of people are expected to line town and village streets for the annual parades on what's promised to be a dry but cool day.

Parades are taking place in a number of places – The Ennis parade kicks off at 11am, in Kilkee it starts at noon and Killaloe's parade starts at 2.30.

While, it's a 3 o'clock start time for parades in Enistymon and Miltown Malbay, and Tulla's parade kicks off at 4.

The Kilfenora parade will get underway following 12 o'clock mass. 

Meanwhile, traffic restrictions in place in Ennis tomorrow for the county's largest St. Patrick's Day parade. 

Ten thousand people are expected to descend on the county town for the event and Gardai say there will be no vehicler access to a number of areas along the route of the parade. 

People are being asked to comply with all Garda instructions to ensure in passes off smoothly.
