Parents in the Shannon area have just a week left to vote for their preferred choice of local primary school patron.
It is all part of the historic move to reduce church dominance in primary education and follows a similar exercise late last year where parents in five other areas voted whether to keep the status quo or have a non denominational set up.

Nine schools in Shannon, Newmarket on Fergus and Clonmoney area included in the Department of Education Survey which can be accessed on www.education.ie.
Paper based versions are also available on request but the deadline for submissions is Friday.
