Davy Fitzgerald has ruled himself out as a possible Labour Party Candidate for Clare in the forthcoming general election.
There were suggestions last week the former county goalkeeper and current Waterford boss has been approached to stand in the county.

Labour have yet to select a candidate with speculation suggesting high profile hurler from Clare was being lined up for a tilt at Dáil Eireann.
However,speaking to Clare FM the Sixmilebridge man said he would not have the time outside of his current hurling commitments to go into politics.
