Four adults and a child have been rescued off of Lough Derg after their vessel broke down on the lake.
The group were travelling from Garrykennedy to Mountshannon last evening when they encountered difficulty, and called the Lough Derg RNLI just before 7:30.
The volunteer crewmembers found all five less than half an hour later, and towed the boat back to Garrykennedy.

While visibility was good at the time, winds were force 6 and the skipper of the cruiser had said he was getting very concerned as the weather was worsening.
