Efforts to prevent a repeat of the level of flooding which caused serious hardship in Ennis in 2009 are being stepped up today.
Junior Minister at the Office of the OPW Brian Hayes will officially launch phase two of Flood Alleviation works in Clare’s County town today.

The government has signed off on almost 13 million euro in funding for the second stage of the Ennis Drainage Scheme which covers an area from Bank Place down to Doora Bridge.
