The recent flooding problems are likely to dominate this afternoon’s meeting of Ennis town council.
Two weeks after severe rainfall and rising levels on the river Fergus hammered Ennis Town Centre, the debate is expected to centre on the many residents who are still in temporary accommodation due to the damage caused to their homes.
Questions are also to be raised about future flood prevention strategies and the damage caused to local infrastructure including the Post Office Bridge.
The council is being asked to clarify whether structural damage has been caused to the Bridge at Bank Place which was closed to the public a number of times due to concerns about unprecedented water levels in the river.
