A former Garda station in Clare fetched just 18,500 euro when it was sold last year.
The building which housed Labasheeda Garda Station is over 500-square-foot, and includes a main office, kitchen, bathroom, and basement.
It’s one of two former Garda Stations in Clare which have been sold, after the decision was taken to shut them down in recent years – the other, in Carrigaholt, fetched 105 thousand euro when it was sold in 2015.

Both stations are among 42 such facilities which have been sold in the past four years, for a combined price of 3.2 million euro.
The figure, reported in today’s Irish Examiner, has been described as “derisory” by Fianna Fáil.
