A former novice, Patricia Burke Brogan says she had no idea as a young sister that the homes existed.
She oversaw the work of over 100 women in her time in the Galway facility but later left the order of nuns and has gone on to become a writer.
Speaking to Clare FM's Morning Focus Patricia says a full inquiry should include Magdelene Laundries.
