There’s been another spike in overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.
Latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show that there were 55 patients without a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning.
That’s up from 35 on Friday and includes 31 on trolleys alone, while 24 were accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
