Taking a dip at Clare’s beaches is set to become safer from today.
Full lifeguard cover is being provided at 12 of the main beaches across the county. Up to now there was only weekend cover.

The locations being patrolled are Lahinch, Spanish Point, Kilkee, Fanore, Ballycuggeran, Seafield in Quilty, Bishop’s Quarter in Ballyvaughan, White Strand in Miltown Malbay and Doonbeg, Doolin and Cappa in Kilrush and Mountshannon
