Nearly 40,000 euro has been announced towards the staging of festivals in Clare this year.
In all just over 1 million euro has been allocated to help in the staging of festivals and events throughout Ireland, including 695 thousand euro for regional fesitvals such as those taking place in Clare.
The Burren Food Trail Programme is the biggest beneficiary here, receiving 8,000 euro.
5,000 euro has been awarded to the organisers of Lisdoonvarna's matchmaking festival, while 3,000 goes to The Outing Festival in the same village.
The same amount also goes to the Ennis Trad Fest, Feile Brian Boru and Miltown Malbay's Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy.
The Tour de Burren, the Shannonside Winter Music Festival, a cycling event, the Granfondo Hibernia, the Scarriff Harbour Festival, and the Book Club, Street and Trad Festivals in Ennis all receive smaller amounts.
The total funding for Clare stands at 39 thousand euro.
