Funding boost for Clare Counselling Groups

Over 120 thousand Euro in grant aid is being allocated to counselling services across County Clare

21 separate voluntary and community groups which provide a wide range of marriage child and bereavement supports are set to benefit.

This latest tranche of funding announced by Minister for Family and Social Affairs Eamon O Cuiv is being allocated to over 560 organisations nationwide to the tune of 3.5 million Euro …

122 thousand Euro of this has been earmarked for Clare, with the largest sum of almost 36 thousand Euro going to Ennis based group Clarecare while Clare Haven receives the second highest allocation of 15 thousand Euro

The Congress Info and Opportunities Centre is getting 12,300 , while  7000 Euro is being given to the West Clare Family Resource Centre.

The other organisations set to benefit from grants ranging from 6000 Euro to 500 are The Methyst Resource for Human Development, Clare Immigrant Support Centre, Compass, The Killaloe/ Ballina Family Resource Centre, Ennis National School, Scoil Christ Ri, Saint Flannan’s, Stem, Living Links, The East Clare Bereavement Support Group and Shannon Bereavement Support Group.

Further funding has also been provided for  a number of Rainbow school initiatives.
