Over a million euro has been announced for works Group Water and Sewerage Schemes in Clare.
The funding is aimed mainly at the improvement of water quality in group water schemes and upgrading and water conservation works in distribution networks.

Under guidelines from the Department of Environment, it means that at least 135 homes here will benefit.
Full details of the schemes that will benefit haven't been released, but Clarecastle Fine Gael TD Joe Carey has confirmed that it means good news for one group on the outskirts of Ennis.
