A long awaited solution to traffic problems at County Clare’s most controversial road juction may be in sight in the new year.
The Transport Minister has been told that lives could be lost at Blake’s Corner in Ennistymon without progress on plans to move the protected buildings in the area and widen the main access point for Lahinch and the Cliffs of Moher.

But now the NRA has confirmed it will fund an Environmental Impact Study ahead of a planning aplication for the work in 2014, while the Council is to fill in the steps in front of the old Blakes and Linnanes Shops to prevent cars going off the road.
