Funding has been granted for urgent remedial works on a bridge in South East Clare.

The Department of Transport has granted 60 thousand euro towards repairs works on Cappantymore Bridge in Meelick, which spans the Crompaun stream.
Large cut stones had become dislodged from the bridge, due to heavy use, which led to concerns being raised by local residents.
Local Councillor Cathal Crowe says changes in traffic volumes have resulted in the need for repairs to be carried out.
