A Clare psychotherapist says there needs to be a focus on funding mental health charities if issues surrounding services are to be addressed.
It comes after a report from the Mental Health Commission outlined that many mental health patients are being treated like ‘second-class citizens’.
There are concerns that reports of some residents being admitted to ‘outdated and unclean premises’ could be acting as a deterrent for those seeking help.
