The Transport Minister is being urged to intensify his efforts into finding private investors to help improve road links between Ennis, Galway and the Northwest.
While the European Investment Bank has approved in principle a loan of 170 million euro for the expansion of the M18 motorway from Gort to Tuam, further funds will need to be found from private sources.

Minister Leo Varadkar is currently working to try and secure these funds.
Gort Councilor Gerry Finnerty believes it’s important that the route is progressed further.
