Repairs to the banks of the River Fergus are to be carried out between Ennis and Kildysart to address serious recent flooding problems.
Farmers in the Ballynacally and Ballycorick areas have been counting the cost of flooding to their land caused by breaches of the river embankment and have been seeking assistance for some time now.

Funds of almost 50,000 euro are now to be provided to Clare County Council to facilitate repairs to some banks of the Fergus following an announcement by the Office of Public Works.
