Further deaths on Irish roads

Ten people have died on the country's roads in the past week.

In the latest fatality a seven-year-old boy has died following a 3-car collision in the north.

He was among 8 people injured in the crash yesterday evening on the Old Carrick Road in Newtownabbey.

Meanwhile, yesterday evening a 20-year-old woman died when her car struck a wall in New Ross, Co. Wexford.

It brings to 162 the number of people who have died on our roads so far this year.
