Just days after a Delta Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport there have been two more such incident in the US.
Engine failure forced a Boeing 767 to return to New York’s JFK airport.
The Delta Airlines flight was on it’s way to Moscow with 193 passengers on board at the time.
Hours later a flight bound for LA was forced to return to Atlanta – also due to engine problem.
On Saturday, there was a full emergency turn out at Shannon Airport when a Delta flight en route from Washington to Paris with over 160 people on board was forced to land at the mid west airport with engine difficulties.
It landed safety shortly before 6.30 and there were no injuries.
A relief flight was provided for passengers a number of hours later and they resumed their journey to Paris.
