The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has sounded a note of caution over hopes that the property tax here will be reduced by 15%.
The Environment Minister has confirmed that enough Property Tax is being collected in Clare this year to give the County Council the option of giving a reprieve to home-owners.

However, the final decision rests with Councillors who have been holding behind-closed doors talks over recent weeks.
However, Sixmilebridge Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe feels more details are still needed on the Council's overall budget for next year.
