A 24 year old remains in Garda custody in connection with the fatal shooting of Kilrush man Leslie Kenny.
His period of detention was extended yesterday evening and he can be held for a total of three days before being released or charged.
That timeframe expires tomorrow but Gardai are expected to make a decision later today on what course of action to take.
Leslie Kenny body’s was discovered in the front garden of a house on O Gorman Street in Kilrush on Wednesday.
Post-mortem results revealed the 27 year old had died from gunshot wounds.
