May saw another significant reduction in the number of people claiming unemployment benefit in Clare.
Nearly 200 people left the county's dole queues, with the biggest drops in West and North Clare.
In areas associated with the Kilrush Welfare office, just under 1,200 people were signing on at the end of May, a monthly drop of 73.
In Ennistymon, a similar fall has brought the live register numbers to 1,331 – for both areas, the dole queues are at their shortest levels since the beginning of 2009.
Elsewhere though, falls last month were marginal – 6 in East Clare, and 3 in Ennis.
Across Clare, 8,585 people are claiming some form of benefit – this figure is around 950 less than at the same point last year.
