There's been a 9% drop in the number of people signing on the live register in Clare in the last year, despite another increase last month.
New CSO figures show an additional 228 people signed on here in December, and that the end-of-year figure stood at over 8,400.

Monthly increases were recorded in all parts of the county, with an additional 100 people joining the dole queues in North Clare alone.
The total number is over 850 less than at the beginning of 2014.
