Two men charged in connection with the death of Lisseycasey man Brian Casey have been further remanded in custody
29 year old Harry Dinan with an address of 10 Waterpark Heights in Ennis and 22 year old Kevin Dinan of 3 Clarehill, Clarecastle are both charged with assault causing harm to Brian Casey on Saturday night last. and were back before Ennis District Court today.
Harry Dinan and his nephew Kevin Dinan were charged in connection with the death of Brian Casey early yesterday – the 26 year old Lisseycasey man was later pronounced dead at the Mid-western Regional Hospital in Limerick from injuries he sustained in the alleged assault in Ennis on St Stephen’s Night.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the exact cause of death tomorrow, and in court today, Judge Joseph Mangan approved free legal aid to include an independent Pathologist’s report on behalf of the accused following an apllication from defence solicitor Tara Godfrey.
No apllication for bail was made for either Harry Dinan or Kevin Dinan who were remanded in custody to appear in court again on Janauary 8th.
Meanwhile a 38-year-old woman who was also arrested in connection with the alleged assault on Brian Casey has since been released without charge.
