The Garda Commissioner is to visit Ennis and address this county’s Joint Policing Committee this afternoon.
Drew Harris is expected to make a presentation to members, along with taking questions about policing matters in Clare.
It’s believed a timeline for the proposed merger of the Clare and Tipperary Garda Divisions, which is to have its headquarters in Ennis, will be outlined.

Clarity is also expected on whether any of the additional 800 Garda posts announced in Budget 2022 will be dispatched to this county.
