Crime prevention across Clare and the protection of the most vulnerable, particularly in rural or isolated areas takes centre stage over the coming days.
Today makes the start of Garda Community Safety Week where officers will engage and work with members of the public to achieve improved safety across the county.
Similar events will be repeated in towns and villages nationwide and among the events include several strategic policing initiatives involving the Garda Traffic Corps, Garda Mounted Unit, and the new Garda Mobile Incident Command Units.
