A Labour party TD has made a complaint to the Gardai over comments made by the Fine Gael Mayor of Naas Darren Scully.
Councillor Scully sparked outrage after he announced on local radio this morning that he will no longer represent those of African origin in the town.
He said he made the decision based on what he describes as the "aggressive" attitude he has experienced when representatives are made to him by black Africans.

In a statement issued this afternoon, the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party said the views expressed by Councillor Scully do NOT reflect the views of Fine Gael.
