The head of the Clare Garda Division says they’ve made good progress in their investigations into two high profile criminal incidents in the county in recent weeks.
Chief Superintendent John Kerin, has told Clare FM that he is ‘very satisfied’ with progress made in their investigation into an armed robbery at an Ennis bookmakers last Saturday evening.

Meanwhile, a man is to be questioned after a conman pretended to be a senior member of the Gardaí in Newmarket on Fergus, Killaloe and Ennistymon in recent weeks.
The man in question had attempted to gain access to the homes of elderly people in order to obtain money, but Chief Superintendent Kerin says a suspect is to be questioned shortly.
