Gardaí in Ennis are investigating the latest robbery at a shop in the town, during which a shop manager was threatened by a man with a weapon.
The incident occured at XtraVision in the Market area of Ennis.
At around 7:30 this morning, a staff member at XtraVision in Ennis was opening the store when he was followed inside by a man with a weapon.
The offender, who had a weapon, threatened the member of staff, and then took a sum of money before he fled the scene on foot
Garda Francis Brennan of Ennis Garda Station has issued this description of the culprit.
A number of robberies have been recorded in Ennis town centre in recent weeks, including crimes at an off-licence, a cafe and a pharmacy where twenty thousand euro.
Gardaí are also investigating what appears to have been an organised theft from a shop in the Drumbiggle area las Thursday afternoon.
