Ennis Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an incident in which a man in his fifties sustained serious head injuries.
The 52 year old man was involved in a dispute with a number of people outside his home in the Hermitage area of Clare’s County Town when he fell back and hit his head off the pavement.

He’s currently in a critical condition in Limerick Regional Hospital.
Gardaí have carried out a forensic examination of the scene as well as door to door enquiries, but there are no arrests to date
Superintendent Derek Smart of Ennis Garda Station who’s leading the investigation is appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
