Gardaí are investigating what’s been described as a suspicious approach made to a young schoolgirl in Quin.
The incident happened on Monday morning last at around 8:45, and was reported yesterday.
It’s understood the girl was approached by a male who was driving a blue van, who asked if she wanted a lift – she ran away.

The incident is being investigated, and anyone with information is asked to contact Ennis Gardaí on 065 6848100.
Separately, Shannon Gardaí are appealing to people to contact them first after a post on social media about men trying to lure children into a van did the rounds.
But following an investigation, Gardaí were satisfied there was no risk to children.
