Gardai in Ennistymon have ruled out foul play in the deaths of two sisters, whose bodies were found at a beach near Miltown Malbay yesterday. However, the investigation into their deaths continues.
The bodies of the women were discovered at Whitestrand at 10.30 yesterday morning – both are in their forties and from the UK.
Their bodies were removed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where post mortems were carried out last evening. It was after this that Gardai confirmed that their deaths are not suspicious.
Meanwhile, Clare Gardai have been liaising with their counterparts in the UK in relation to a Citreon Xsara car discovered at the scene.
Gardai say the car, which is registered in Wales is connected with the women.
