A Clare school bus driver and the company responsible for the bus he was driving are facing prosecution after being stopped by Gardaí in Clare.
As part of a joint operation between members of the Clare Garda Traffic Corps and the RSA, a number of buses were stopped and examined across the county yesterday morning to ensure they’re road worthy and legal.
One school bus was found to have a badly worn tire and excessive body corrosion and was prohibited from continuing its journey.
There were no school children on board at the time.
A Garda spokesperson has told Clare FM that both the driver and the company are now due before the courts.
