Gardaí in Clare have have seized four cars which were found to have dangerous defects and one man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
On Saturday last Gardaí seized and examined ten cars in total as part of Operation As part of Operation Curb, details of which have been released today.
The operation aims to detect cars that have been modified over the legal limit as well as educate drivers.

Inspector Paul Slattery from the Clare Garda Roads Policing Unit has been telling Clare FM’s Fiona Cahill that even small modifications to a car can pose a serious risk to drivers and other road users.
