Gardai in Ennis are warning drivers to be especially careful in a number of housing estates in the town this morning as there is a large amont of black ice on the roads.
The Tulla Bodyke road has reopened after an earlier accicdent and gardai are warning caution on all main roads as surface water may be lying on black ice
Ennistymon gardai are also warning motorists in the north of the county and especially around Ballyvaughan,Lisdoonvarna and Fanore of icy and dangerous road conditions.
Gardai are warning drivers that Killaloe/Ballina is very icy around the town and extreme caution is advised to drivers.
Main roads in Kilrush and around Shannon are passable this morning but caution is to be exercised on secondary and local routes while main roads around Gort are still dangerous.
