There’s further bad news on the jobs front in Shannon.
GE Money is expected to let 50 staff go at its offices in the Shannon Free Zone, along with a further 15 job losses at its Dublin operation.
Staff at the company have been told that a 30 day consultation process will now begin in an effort to retain as many staff as possible but 65 Irish redundancies are expected.

The multinational company previously ceased its mortgage and personal loans services on the Irish market, but continues to provide motor finance products and services.
A spokesperson for GE Money told Clare FM they are still committed to retaining a significant operation in Shannon.
