The last man to lead Clare to an All Ireland Hurling title, says he is thrilled with the latest success for the Clare hurlers.
Ger Loughnane says Saturday’s victory for Clare, and for his former player Davy Fitzgerald, has come as a boost not only to the county but also to the sport of hurling as a whole.

He’s praised the current side for bringing a ‘revolution’ to the game, in terms of their short passing style, while he’s also told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that the county’s young guns showed great character in the second half of Saturday’s Final Replay.
