German officials say they’re hopeful that the worst of the killer e-coli outbreak is over.

The Health Minister says the number of new cases of infection is dropping.
The outbreak has left at least 24 people dead and over 2,300 people have taken ill in 14 countries.
Despite widespread testing of food, restaurants and farms authorities have been unable to trace the origin of the outbreak.
