Germany to rule on legality of Greece Bailout

The German constitutional court is to rule today on the legality of the 110 billion euro bail out package given to Greece.

The landmark ruling has major implications for future aid as the Eurozone debt crisis continues to rage.

Experts do not expect the court to rule against the stability fund set up in May 2010 to bail out distressed economies but many believe it will insist Germany’s parliament has more say in any future rescues.

This has prompted fears that reaction time in any future crisis will be slower.
