Two Ballyvaughan restaurants have won gold medals at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
L’Arco Italian Restaurant – run by the Quinn Family in Ballyvaughan – picked up the Best Ethnic Restaurant honour at the 24th Annual Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards, while The Tea & Garden Rooms received the Gold Medal Award for Cafés & Tearooms.

Run by leading hospitality industry magazine, Hotel & Catering Review, and judged by an independent jury, the Gold Medal Awards are widely regarded as one of the the most prestigious and coveted awards in the business.
There was also joy for another local eatery, with the Gold Medal Award for Best Newcomer going to Masterchefs at The Pavilion, on the Clare side of the UL campus.
