Hollywood stars and many of the World’s Top Golfers are expected to Jet in to Shannon Airport this weekend ahead of the JP McManus ProAm Tournament which starts on Monday.
Film starts Michael Douglas and Hugh Grant will be adding to the star golfing attractions of Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington and recent US Open Champion Graeme McDowell who’ll be competing in Adare and are expected at Shannon over the weekend.
Between 25 and 30 thousand visitors are expected to visit the area on Monday and Tuesday and Gardai are making an early appeal to motorists regarding diversions in place.

Garda Tom Keane from Adare Garda Station, is asking drivers to avoid the town centre if not attending the golf tournament.
