John Gormely has praised the local emergency services in ennis and Clare for their work over the past number of days in restricting flood damage iacross the county.
The green Party Leader was speaking on a visit to the town yesterday as he inspected the damage wrecked upon homes and businesses due to the flooding.
The Minister victed Ennis as well as Ballinasloe in Galway and Cork to see for himself the rescue efforts being underataken and the effect the water has had on the areas.
He called on all those in the community to foster a spirit of action in order to get through the difficulties of the past number of days and had special praise for those involved in the flood relief:
